Horizon Ranger: what we learned in the first 1,000km
A full week towing the new Horizon Ranger through the high country, from ramp angles to the fitout details that actually matter.

Horizon put a Ranger in our hands for a week and pointed us at the Victorian high country, which is a fair test of anything on a dual axle.
The chassis holds its line better than the outgoing model on corrugations, and the redesigned drawbar makes the hitch-up far less of a two-person job.
Inside, the fitout is the story. Bench space is genuinely usable, the fridge sits where you can reach it without moving anyone, and the water tank plumbing is finally serviceable without removing half the floor.
